The Appignani Humanist Center for Bioethics accepts applications for unpaid internships for students interested in humanist bioethics. These internships provide students with the opportunity to learn about pertinent bioethics issues and gain skills in debating and campus organizing. Candidates interested in interning with the Center should contact the Director.

Internships 2008

The Appignani Humanist Center for Bioethics has an opportunity for up to five interns to promote its events and assist the director in various activities at the center. There will also be opportunities to publish original work in the Humanist.

The work will include:
  • Promoting an international forum on ethical guidelines in medical sciences
  • Guiding medical practice toward a secular scientific perspective
  • Opposing international restrictions on stem cell research
  • Supporting separation of church and state in international bioethics policy

studentFlexible schedule: design your weekly schedule and length of internship

School Credit if a student: The Director of the center, Dr. Ana Lita, is a former professor of Philosophy/ Applied Ethics and is willing to work with students to accommodate university or departmental requirements to receive school credit for the internship.
